MERRY BRIGHT FABRIC MACHE HOLIDAY SCROLL SCENE Up for SALE WITH A BUY IT NOW is: A very unique Christmas decoration from Merry Brite. It is a hanging Holiday scene made of Fabric Mache in the form of a Holiday Scroll aka Diorama. This one has three figures snowman, child & ski enthusiast…with the faux backdrop song sheet for Jingle Bells as shown. The figures are a mix of starched or stiff formed fabric/mache and plastic hands/faces & other holiday accents (berries, trim & knit accents etc). Overall this is a delicate piece that has held up well & is rustic. There is a gold rope on a dowel that goes through the top scroll at so this can hang. This scene was made to mimic a scrolled song sheet so it is angular in nature and not meant to be straight. If you collect these decorations you will already be aware of this design. I took photos from all sides so you can see the shape, color, theme and construction. I must say I have not seen this series before. Fun collectible. Distributed by CVS and had a selling price of 17.99 back in the day and is series #130609. Comes in the original box…the clear window on the box is a bit wavy and detached a bit but overall the box is in good condition (see photo). No mildew or major issues. No date of making that I can find anywhere. Previously owned and you will find some minor abrasion to the paint at the edges. It has a rustic look with crazing or crackling to some paint and hand painted accents. Measures approximately: 12″ x 11″ x 4 1/2 inches deep.**Dollar bill used only for size reference. Usually these type of decorations are distributed seasonally and become more valuable & collectible as they are discontinued. ***I also have another MerryBrite Fabric Mache Scroll (Silent Night design) to this same series in box.
