eBay Cycling jersey with short sleeves, new with manufacturer’s (Giordana Sporting Goods) fabric care hang tag. Made in Italy. Around the 80’s era. Labeled M (48). Men’s medium for the 80’s era. (Probably on the smaller side of medium in this current decade’s sizing). Dimensions are as follows: Pit to pit, flat meas. 19″ across. Shoulder to bottom 24 1/2″/ back longer at 27″. Waist 16 1/2″ flat measurement. Bottom is 13″ with elastic still very good and stretches to 17″. Outer shoulder seam to outer shoulder seam is 16″. Shoulders are 5″ from collar to sleeve. Sleeve length is 9″, and are double stitched on edge so they don’t tend ride up. Center back measurement is 15 1/2″ flat. Back has three slots for water bottles with center one measuring 4 3/4″, right side 5″, left side 4 1/4″, with seam tops having extra stitching at the dividing spots for extra strength for durability from pulling bottles in and out of slots repeatedly, those Italians don’t leave any detail undone. 50% Cotton ~ 50% Polyester. Printed signature of Eddy Merckx in black on front in the blue double black dot area. (See pic.) Color scheme is primary colors with large letter black/white contrast screen printing. Eddy Merckx name in white eighties type font with black contrast down front left. Ribbed stand up 1 1/2″ white collar with black printing of sporting goods name in black (Giordana). 4″ white polyester zipper at neck with silver tone zipper pull. 1″ silver metal pull with black enamel front with silver letters advertising Giordana. Near zippered area is the printed mascot of Giordana the Centaur in a curved corner rectangle near zipper pull. This jersey is a well thought-out 80’s design with it’s bold colors and font style the give away. Bright colors for safety with the E almost appearing as an arrow for autos to stay to the left. Exceptional quality down to the zipper pull, never doubt the Italian’s for quality and design.
