This vintage hefty size 18 Elgin Coin Silver HC Pocket Watch has a classic white dial with black Roman numeral markers, dark navy hands, and a second hand sub dial. The ornate coin silver hunting case shows an 1888 date on the dust cover. The serial number is 2811675 indicating it was manufactured in 1887. A great piece for the Elgin collector..! These early Elgin Coin silver watches are rare this nice. CONDITION: This is a pre-owned fully working watch that keeps great time – as of almost 24 hours up to this listing. This watch is in very good condition for it’s age. The dial, hands, and markers look excellent..! The crystal does have some light scratches, including one long light scratch across center (hard to see in photo). The case looks very good except for a few small light scratches on the back, and one very small ding. There is also a personal hallmark dating this watch to 1888 on inside back case.
