They have a crystal ball core which has several coats of nacre applied, using a technology that is very similar to the natural production of pearls. In accord with the highest standards of quality and ecological demands our Nacre Pearls are lead-free (lead content Nacre Cabochons 131 11 030 are being replaced with new item – 131 80 030 Nacre Cabochons. The appearance of colors from the top side is not affected; color differences will only be noted to the bottom side (the bottom side of the stone may appear darker than the previous version in some colors). The new Nacre Cabochon 131 80 030 is not machine cut. The bottom side of the stone does not have as sharp of an edge; it is more rounded with a slightly convex surface compared to the previous version (131 11 030), which was machine cut. The new Nacre Cabochon still meets the originally given tolerance for difference in dimension. NOTE: when we sell out old version 131 11 030, it will be automatically replaced with new version 131 80 030. These stones are designed for application by gluing and have a highly resistant multilayer silver foiling that protects against damage and intensifies their brilliance.
