STOCK PHOTOS ONLY Worms 2 is designed first and foremost as a strategic turn-based multi-player game that can accommodate between two and six human or computer controlled teams. In hot-seat mode, the game can be played with as many as 18 players. Over a LAN or the Internet, a total of six players can “slime” it out with Worms 2. The game creates randomly generated landscapes each time a new game is started, thus providing unlimited replay value. Additionally, Worms 2 comes with new editor programs including speech, weapon and landscape modules which guarantees no two games should ever be alike. The game contains many customizable options such as time limits for each turn and round, number of worms per team (1-8), rounds per game (1-9), strength of the worms (impacts on game length), wind intensity, in-game surface friction and weapons available per game. Other features include adjustable power settings for land mines, number of mines, a mine explosion delay factor, time allowed for retreat, user choice of which worm to use during the game, amount of damage incurred by a falling worm and placement of girder sections (bridges) on the landscape. You also have complete control over many gameplay functions like the amount of energy restored to injured worms, booby-traps, enabling secret weapons, stockpiling limits, terrain variations and graphic representations, types of water and landscape and more. Toggle options are available for animation sequences, detail levels and audio, both music and sound effects. Worms 2 also features single player missions that are played against computer controlled teams, each with different abilities, weapon configurations and setups. Skill levels are offered for the beginner, medium or expert player. An option to save games is handled via user-assigned passwords. Games can range from as few as 20 minutes to nearly unlimited lengths. Although Worms 2 contains a vast arsenal of weapons (about 40) from which to choose, the advent of the weapon editor assures the number of weapons possible is limited only by your imagination. Pre-developed weapons range from the bizarre type such as the Super Banana and Mad Cow to hardcore weapons like the Uzi or Cluster Bomb. Windows, Mac, Linux…) This is a generic statement and specific platform versions (ie. XP, Vista…) will have to be researched by the buyer. Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work. 64-Bit Windows OS Systems: For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program. Macintosh Systems: For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 – 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn’t support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions. MEDIA FORMAT: Please verify you have the required hardware in order to use the specified media (ie. CD, DVD, floppy drives, etc.) If the item comes as a floppy disc, make sure you have either the needed 3.5″ floppy drive or the bigger and older 5.25″ floppy drive. SHIPPING: We typically ship all items out within 2-4 business days after payment is received. In regards to the stated shipping and handling, remember that these costs include more than just postage.
