eBay The Cambridge Ancient History complete 12-volume set plus Volumes of Plates 3-5, for a total of 15 volumes. Volume of Plates I & II are not included. I believe that the rest of the set is here, but there could be something else missing. The set was published between 1924 and 1939. This is a thorough history of the ancient world with many fold-out maps and charts. The whole set is ex-library. The set is well used and some volumes show quite a bit of wear, but are still in very usable condition. On several volumes, the binding is slightly loose, but all are holding together fine. Most volumes have light to severe spine breaks and a number of the fold-out maps and charts show wear on the edges. If they had DJs originally, they are not here. Any particular issues that I observed in individual volumes have been noted below. There could be problems that I did not observe, but I tried to be careful. Includes: Volume I – Cloth spine has split completely on one side and partially on the other and has been covered with clear library tape. The front board has been taped to the flyleaf, as has the title page. Volume II – Cloth on spine has split completely on one side and about 2/3 on the other and has been partially covered with clear library tape. A small piece of the cloth is missing. Volume III – One fold-out map has come loose and 2/3 of an index page has torn out. Both are included. Volume IV – Pages 199-202 have come loose, but are included. Volume V – 2 pages of the preface have torn 3/4 of the way down. Volume VI Volume VII – The upper part of the cloth on the spine is missing. Page 155 is missing, although it may be stuck in the books somewhere. The copyright page is torn at the bottom. Volume VIII Volume IX Volume X – The cloth on the right side of the spine has split. Volume XI – The cloth on the spine was splitting and has been covered with clear library tape. Volume XII – The cloth on the spine is beginning to split and the cloth on the lower back cover has been scraped somewhat badly on the bottom as shown in the last picture. Volume of Plates III Volume of Plates IV Volume of Plates V An old but very neat set! Perfect for a historian or anyone interested in ancient history.
