Vintage Uncas sterling silver marcasite and shell cameo ring in very good condition.The rectangle shaped, bezel set shell cameo is of a lady with a small flower in her hair and on her shoulder/dress. The ring is marked with Uncas makers mark →U← and heavily faded sterling mark only can see the G in sterling.Uncas jewelry company has been around over 100 years and there is no known way to date their jewelry, you can only guess.I do think this ring is an earlier piece made around 1920-1950. This ring is a size 6.The top of the ring measures 1″ by a tiny bit over 3/4″ wide.It weighs 7.3 grams. It is missing 1 marcasite and 2 marcasites are broken but still in the setting. A jeweler could replace both the broken and the one missing marcasites. See last three pictures for the three damaged & missing stones. This ring has a light patina on it that can be clean with a polishing cloth or silver polish cream. I will leave cleaning up to the buyer. Majority of my items for sale have come from estate sales and auctions. I do my best to accurately describe each and every piece I sell here on ebay with pictures and in the description.
