This vintage 14” serving platter is in the iconic Franciscan Desert Rose pattern . It is 14” long, 10” wide and weighs 2 lbs 8 oz. It is hand painted and is in mint condition with no flaws or chips. The backstamp can be found on the bottom of the piece. Collectors refer to this particular backstamps as the “TV” or the “TV Screen” backstamp. This particular backstamp shows the piece was made in California, USA in 1968. You will notice in the backstamp a sequence of 4 digit numbers. The first 2 refer to who the decorator was, and the last two show the year in which it was made.
