Winner receives a stunning signed & dated oil painting on canvas by Elsie A. Polk. The piece depicts a Winter landscape with a flock of bird migrating and a fox chasing a rabbit. The painting is signed and dated 1891 in the lower right corner, seen magnified in picture 6. The piece comes with provenance from the collection of Mary Elizabeth Polk Overstreet (1902-1988), Columbia, Missouri. The painting is in excellent original condition with no rips, tears, repairs, paint losses, or in-painting. The original frame is structurally solid, but does have multiple areas of losses, some seen magnified in pictures 7 & 8. A small bag of frame fragments that have fallen off will be included. Please note, the applied gesso elements are very fragile and during the shipping process, there may be more pieces that come off. The painting can be hanged as-is but would really benefit with some restoration to the frame. The frame measures roughly 32″ x 26″, with the image measuring roughly 26″ x 20″.
