It is properly heat treated to withstand ordinary shop use. The body is centered, enabling the worker to use it on lathe centers or on an upright drilling machine to start the tap straight. The T handle is jaws conform to the tool that is being held, making it extra rigid and less apt to loosen its hold. It has a sliding handle that is frictionally held, and it can be removed entirely or positioned so that leverage can be applied when working in close quarters.
