The ROMEO4XT-PRO is powered by the commonly available AAA battery and features a runtime of 50,000 hours. The cap to the battery compartment is tethered, ensuring you won’t lose the cap during battery changes in high-stress situations. At the request of industry professionals, the ROMEO4XT-PRO’s power and illumination control was moved from the left side to the 12 o’clock position – this was done to make the optic ambidextrous, and reduces the chance of snagging on plate carriers or chest rigs when the host rifle is in the slung position. The ROMEO4XT-PRO has also been optimized for use with night vision devices. This is evident in the optic’s dedicated night vision override switch for instant transition to a night vision compatible brightness, as well as Sig’s exclusive D.A.R.C. (Dark Adaptive Reticles & Coatings) Technology which utilizes special lens coatings and reticle brightness settings for optimal performance with GEN 3+ night vision devices. Other features of the ROMEO4XT-PRO include a multi-segment reticle, allowing the user to choose between a simple dot reticle, a 3-dot bullet drop compensation reticle, a dot in the middle of a ring, or a 3-dot bullet drop compensation reticle in the middle of a ring.
