ITEM DESCRIPTION:RUSSIA 1933 AIR Stratosphere Record: 10k carmine SG635 VFU (419). Nice fresh looking stamp with almost central Moscow CDS cancel. It does have some gum but I’m not convinced this is a CTO – given the almost central position of the cancel. It’s more likely to have been used in the mail but when removed from its envelope, it came away easily including retaining some gum. No obvious faults spotted but see scan/s for condition. Starting to clear my surplus Russia stamps (1858-1991) – I have 10x thick 64-page stockbooks full of them – all stored in date order!
