VINTAGE FRONTALINI Model-60 BASS ACCORDIAN (1930’s era) For the avid accordion collector or restorer (MAKE AN OFFER!!!) In decent shape for a 95 year old instrument NOTE: Has some damage to some of the small round buttons which have been chipped (see photos) However—everything appears to be all there and it makes sounds Comes with the brown canvas style cover -although it shows significant wear and tear All of the buttons and keys seem to work , however as I do not know how to play this unique instrument. It is being sold “AS IS” with “NO RETURNS” for any reason. The quality and design of this instrument would have set it apart from the common ones of its day and age. A vintage music assessor provided further observations and information for consideration. This was most likely manufactured during the 1930’ which has been called “the golden era of the Frontalini”-and is in good shape considering it age. Other considerations indicate if in good shape could be worth up to $2000 to a collector. A music archives technician stated “it is a Frontalini 60 bassp/acc.” and is likely from ca.1920’s -1930s. His Reason is: “Its squarish boxlike appearance as indicative of the earlier production piano accordions of the 1920’s thru 1930’s. His reasoning is that most were not equipped with register switches –as these appointments or features are clues in dating old accordions. He stated the overall condition is good for the antiquity or its age.Further information on the Frontalini Accordion may be obtained from the Maxim Group Inc, the manufacturers located in Italy.
