This GREEN STRIATED Pelikan M600 was made in West Germany in the 1980's. This is the first generation ever made of the M600, and is the same size as the M400 from the period. The M600 was primarily made to be a more luxurious version of the M400, having an 18k gold nib, instead of the 14k that the M400 had. Also, the cap has double gold rings/bands, there is a gold band around the piston knob and another one around the grip section. The nib is crafted from 18k 750 gold and is a B- Broad. This one is also 2-tone. A very smooth and flexy nib to write with. The pen comes with the original box and the instruction manual. The pen is in near mint to mint condition, as you can see on the pictures. There are no cracks visible anywhere on it. The nib collar is also not cracked. Only part that is showing signs of usage is the ring around the grip section, which is usual for most pens, except ones that were never inked. The nib writes well and the pen has received a service, which included thorough cleaning and lubrication of the silicone gasket with silicone. These M400 pens had a piston assembly that was made to break if disassembled, so a full disassembly was not possible for this reason. I have provided a writing sample using Pelikan 4001 blue tint, in order to further describe the writing characteristics of the nib. Please keep in mind that I am a left handed writer.
