Offered here is a rare and hard to find Setton AS-1100 stereo integrated amplifier that dates to approximately 1977. It powers on and plays, but because I know nothing about its history, and due to age etc., it is offered here for parts or repair. It sounds amazing, the prospective buyer should be someone willing to restore it. If you are not familiar with Setton, do your Google homework. Manufactured in Japan, with cosmetics from a designer employed by Pierre Cardin. Setton units are considered some of the best looking amps and receiver of the ’70s era. Some threads indicate it was manufactured by Pioneer. Some say Alpine. Like I said…do your internet homework and you decide. It was play tested using a single pair of 8 ohm speakers at moderate volume for a few hours. No problems encountered. At some point, one of the filter capacitors has been replaced. See the photos. It sounds clean, but replacing both would seem like a good idea. All of the inputs have been tested…all working. Good sounding phono inputs. One of the speaker terminals is broken, but still has signal so a screw or clip can be used to attach. Cosmetically, it is in good used condition. Not perfect, but no significant damage. A few minor scuffs and nicks, but no large dents or scratches. Measurements are approximately 19-3/4″ wide x 7″ tall x 14″ deep.
