Up for purchase is an original M1874 Turkish Peabody bayonet. This example has wooden grips, which I believe to be Turkish origin. These bayonets were made by the Ames company in a contract for Turkey. Bayonet is missing the catch button, but retains the spring. Bayonet shows dark patina throughout, with some pitting on the metal parts. Scarce bayonet. eBay limits the amount of photographs I can upload in each listing, so naturally on some items, I cannot take as many photos as I would like.
