HELIOS 44m-4 2/58mm Russian Soviet USSR Lens with adapter for Pentax PK K Mount It is able to Focus to Infinity! Serial number: 89110109 – Made in USSR by “Jupiter”- Valdai in 1989! Condition: New, Unused surplus in Excellent condition. Glass is clean and clear, no scratches, no dust inside, no fungus. The iris blades is free of oil (it is very important for all lenses – the blades must be free of oil). The diaphragm-control ring turns smoothly and accurate. The focusing is smooth and precise. P.S. The iris blades must be absolutely free of oil, not acceptable even a little oil because this -“a little oil” will be on glass inside of a lens on a sunny day. Comes with adapter M42 to Pentax K Mount, front and M42 rear lens caps. Will fit to all Pentax PK K Mount DSLR and film SLR cameras (as long as the body takes Pentax PK / K lenses). There is no ROM connection on the ring of the adapter so diaphragm control of the lens is set manually. The Adapter Made out of Metal – Chrome-plated Brass. Workmanship of the adapter is very fine, high quality. This adapter is much better and higher quality than the usual black adapter. How to Use manual focus (MF) lenses M42 with the use of the adapter with Pentax K: To Mount: Put red marks of the adapter and lens collar together. Turn the adapter clockwise till the fixative click. Mostly it will use Manual or Av mode. Simply attach the ring to your lens and then the lens to the camera. When you have finished remove both together. Its as easy as that! To Remove: Remove both lens / adapter together from the camera, press the lens lock and then remove the adapter from the lens simultaneously. Notice: Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. In this case”stop-down mode”will need to be used when metering since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body.
