Many audiophiles prefer the sound of the 5963 in 12AU7 applications.I believe these tubes were manufactured in the late 1950’s (possibly 1957) and have rectangular getters at a downward angle and copper grid posts. The plate structure is different than those manufactured in the 1960’s-1980’s.Thoroughly tested and matched from a large lot on calibrated TV-7D/U military tube tester.
