As seen used in Legend Race Cars, Baby Grand Stockcars and Dwarf / Mod-Lite Cars. This cooler is normally used in an auxiliary fashion for added cooling by running the top end oiler to the camshafts through this type cooler. It may work in other applications also but the customer needs to verify that before purchasing. During race conditions oil sump temperatures commonly reach 300 degrees and higher. Because of the engine oil being common (mixed) with the transmission, clutch and internal engine components lubricants are subjected to a much quicker viscosity breakdown and heat buildup. The solution to this problem is a compact ( 16″L x 14.50″(tank) x 2″W x 3″H ) all aluminum cooler in addition to the larger engine oil cooler to add extra cooling to the camshaft area of the cylinder head.
