This listing is for a Kenwood KR-4070 AM/FM Stereo Receiver in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. It has been tested/serviced and is working. It is rated at 40 watts per channel at 8 ohms, and features a phono input, as well as Aux and Tape inputs. It has hook-ups for two pairs of speakers, which can be used separately or together. A copy of the Instruction Manual is included. The following outline covers the testing/service work done: · All speaker connections have been tested and are working, both right and left channels. · The tuner was tested using a simple di-pole wire antenna attached. AM and FM stations were received as expected across the radio dial. The FM Stereo lamp was replaced with a red LED. · Aux and Tape inputs and were tested and function as expected. · The Phono input was tested and functions as expected. · Headphone jack was tested and is working. · All Switches and Potentiometers were flushed with contact cleaner, followed by treatment with the appropriate DeoxIt treatment. · The faceplate, dial scale and all knobs were removed, cleaned and hand polished. · All Meter and Radio Dial lamps were replaced with Cool Blue LED’s. · Cleaning on all exterior surfaces was done to improve appearance · The power cord was inspected and cleaned. · Any missing top cabinet or bottom plate screws were replaced. · Watts/channel was checked using a Peak and RMS Output Meter to meet/exceed model specs. · A final extended use test was performed to ensure functionality. This listing describes the item to the best of our ability. Like all units of this era, they have some marks and other signs of wear. The most notable is a very slight ding on the upper right corner of the faceplate (see last 2 pictures). Many high-resolution pictures are included, and should be considered part of the description to help you decide if the unit meets your requirements.
