Item Photos and Description For your consideration is a Japanese art book entitled “Shimanami Kaido Gojusan-tsugi”, which includes 67 full-color plates of watercolor paintings and sketches by a Japanese Nihonga painter Ikuo Hirayama (1930-2009), published as an exhibition catalog in a museum to commemorate the opening of the Shimanami Kaido in Japan in 1999, aka Nishi-Seto Expressway, which connecting Onomichi, Hiroshima and Imabari, Ehime, going through nine of the Geiyo Islands and and ten bridges with scenic sea views which can be seen in the Hirayama’s landscape paintings. Be aware that the entire text is in Japanese. Paperback book, first published by Ikuo Hirayama Museum of Art in 1999 in Japan, measures approximately 278×228 (10.9×9.0″;closed) with 100 full-color pages. Preowned but still in “good” condition, with some signs of use and age as expected such as edge and cover wear, some dents and scratches on cover, otherwise a clean and tight copy, with illustrations intact, no spots/lines/notes inside, no torn or missing page. This item is located in and shipped from a smoke-free and pet-free place in JAPAN.
