As the plastic inlet ages and becomes brittle, it has a tendency to separate around the BPV and/or turbo flange portion of the piece. Since the inlet is one of the most critical components for metered air and consistent performance, cracks or separation can lead to dangerous conditions for the engine. The only difference between our original cast turbo inlets and the new Version 2 is that there are no longer two different fitments for the 2015-16 and 2017-21 fitments. Now they are both covered in one kit with interchangeable threaded fittings to perfectly fit the PCV return line on either the earlier or later models.
