ELITE FORCE WWII BRITISH SAS BRIGADE CAPTAIN “DOUGLAS CALDWELL” COLLECTIBLE FIGURE Manufactured by Blue Box Toys in 2002 No. 21122 1/6 SCALE (12-INCH) FULLY ARTICULATED G3 BODY The Special Air Service was born from the Commando movement and the need for a small, mobile offensive fighting force. Its origins can be traced back to 1940 when the first units were formed under Lt. Col Dudley Clarke. Later that year a combination of Commando units were formed under Lt. Co Robert Laycock, and became known as “Layforce”, and assisted the British Forces in North Africa. Although this force was disbanded in 1941, some of its members ultimately formed the SAS. THIS FIGURE COMES BRAND NEW IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX AND HAS NEVER BEEN REMOVED FROM THE BOX. THE BOX IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION SHOWING SOME SIGNS OF SHELF WEAR/AGE. THE BACK TOP LEFT CORNER HAS BEEN INDENTED AND CREASED AND THE BACK BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER HAS SOME CREASING (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS). THE FIGURE AND ACCESSORIES ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
