Listing Description de Buyer’s Mineral B steel 10 1/4” skillet with its classic French silhouette excels in searing, browning and grilling as well as cooking omelettes or sautéing vegetables. Constructed of 99% iron and 1% carbon sans any chemical coatings. Features include; *2.5 mm in thickness.1 *organic beeswax finish denoted by the ‘B’ of “Mineral B.” and die struck at the bottom center of pan. The beeswax helps prevent oxidation, assists in the seasoning process and also improves the nonstick aspect. *with use the skillet will darken and develops a naturally nonstick surface. *The high quality iron achieves the Maillard reaction where the caramelisation of natural sugars in foods helps to seal in flavour, natural juices and nutrients. *Safe for use on all heat sources including induction. *Triple riveted steel handle with hanging hole. *Quality made in France. May be used in oven for up to 10 minutes at 375 degrees fahrenheit. *Not suitable for acidic foods (tomatoes, lemon or white wine) *Not for broiler use which would alter natural accumulated seasoning on surfaces. Care *Hand wash only with a few drops of detergent. Do not soak skillet. *Remove any cooking residue with nonabrasive nylon scouring pad. *After washing, dry pan and lightly season: add a few drops of cooking oil to interior surface and wipe out with paper towel leaving a thin layer of oil. *Season pan prior to use. Place potato peeling in skillet with 1 cup of water and bring to a boil for 15 minutes. Drain, rinse and dry then apply a thin coat of cooking oil with a paper towel. Brand new with retail sleeve.
