Leaving the risers on, and placing the speakers on the stands will make them tip over, as they are too top heavy, Thanks. Super durable Mahogany Hardwood. Most stands for sale, are made out of 1/2″-3/4″. Mine are a full 13/16″ thick, and for less money! ATTENTION: You are seeing just some of the types of wood I use, besides Mahogany.
