WORKS BUT IT HAS A PROBLEM REWINDING A TAPE. IT STARTS TO REWIND IT AND YOU HEAR A FAST CLICKING SOUND AND THEN IT GIVES AN ERROR MESSAGE SAYING THAT YOU HAVE TO EJECT THE TAPE TO CONTINUE. THEN YOU HAVE TO EJECT THE TAPE AND REINSERT IT TO CONTINUE YOU CAN PRESS THE PLAY BUTTON AND THEN HOLD DOWN THE REWIND BUTTON TO VIEW THE VIDEO AS YOU ARE REWINDING IT AND YOU WILL HEAR THE FAST CLICKING SOUND BUT YOU ARE ABLE TO REWIND THE TAPE THIS WAY BUT IT WILL TAKE QUITE A WHILE TO REWIND IT THIS WAY BECAUSE YOU ARE REWINDING THE TAPE AS YOU ARE WATCHING IT. ONCE AGAIN, PRESSING STOP AND THEN PRESSING THE REWIND BUTTON WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO REWIND THE TAPE. I ONLY TESTED RECORDING A VIDEO AND PLAYING IT BACK HAS MARKS AND WEAR INTERNAL BATTERY IS PROBABLY DEAD RECHARGEABLE BATTERY WORKS…I CHARGED IT UP AND THEN UNPLUGGED THE ADAPTER. I THEN PLAYED A TAPE AND THE BATTERY LASTED 45 MINUTES…YOUR TIME MAY BE DIFFERENT. I PLAYED A BLANK TAPE…IF I HAD PLAYED A TAPE WITH ACTUAL VIDEO/IMAGES ON IT I AM GUESSING THAT THE BATTERY WOULD HAVE LASTED LESS THAN 1 HOUR.
