Best advice from technicians is to use and enjoy the unit often. If you are a collector, power up your collection once a month to re-set capacitors, dry out humidity, etc., and use power strips with switches to keep from cycling hard to replace and failure prone unit power switches. A period of time may have passed since the unit was serviced and listed on eBay and purchased – so controls may need to be worked again upon un-boxing.
