eBay For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single from Bread titled “Make It With You b/w Why Do You Keep Me Waiting”, originally released in 1970 by Elektra Records. I bought this record used, profesionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The archival inner sleeve is Near Mint. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched “Audio Matrix”, indicating that the record was mastered at Audio Matrix, located in The Bronx, New York. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good because of superficial sleeve marks and hairlines, none of which can be felt with a fingertip, but still with surfaces without scuffs or scrapes. I’m play grading it as Very Good because of surface noise, none of which over-powers the music or the vocals. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially a first pressing. This would be a welcome addition to anyone’s collection. I always pack the items for sale in an archival inner sleeve, then put them in either a Kraft paper bubble mailer with sturdy cardboards or cardboard record mailers, always with the records separate from the jackets or its original picture sleeve, then sandwiched between sturdy cardboards before shipping.
