The resistors are covered byprotective coating designed for electrical, mechanical andclimatic protection.The terminations receive a final pure tinon nickel plating. Four or five colour code rings designatethe resistance value and tolerance in accordance withIEC 60062.The result of the determined production is verified by anextensive testing procedure performed on 100 of theindividual resistors. Only accepted products are stuckdirectly on the adhesive tapes in accordance withIEC 60286-1.The resistors are suitable for processing on automaticinsertion equipment and cutting and bending machines.Excellent solderability is proven, even after extendedstorage. They are suitable for automatic soldering usingwave or dipping. The encapsulation is resistant to allcleaning solvents commonly used in the electronicsindustry, including alcohols, esters and aqueous solutions.The resistors are completely lead-free, the pure tin platingprovides compatibility with lead-free soldering processes.The immunity of the plating against tin whisker growth hasbeen proven under extensive testing.
