This is a LARGE bore horn rather than the typical ML. Between that and the 43 bell, this trumpet has a huge, broad, warm tone with exceptional projection if you have the power and breath control to put into it. It’s a great jazz horn, or any setting where you need to cut through the rest of the band. This one is in excellent condition: Lacquer about 97% with some wear on the second valve slide as seen in the photos. Some tiny spots of early red rot on the leadpipe which are hard to get into the photos, and if you swab out the pipe after using it you’ll probably get another 10-20 years before it becomes a problem. A very small ding at the end of the third valve dump slide, but no significant dents, dings or repairs. It is, quite simply, a gorgeous horn. Just through our shop where it was lubed, polished, and had new tuning slide O-rings, piston felts, water key cork, and stop rod bumper installed. Valves are fast and smooth with exceptional compression. All tuning slides free including the third valve dump slide. Comes in the exceptional new-style hard case with lots of room for accessories and both keys. S/n 704XXX is far too new for the published lists, but is likely 2020 or so. Available as a special order only, but the standard ML bore sells new for $3,999 at the online discount place.
