Sold for parts/repair. This preamp has had less than 50 hours of use after it was recapped by Matt Kamna one of the developers of Whammerdyne amplifiers. It worked great at 1st then I started noticing issues. It sounds like one of the switches needs repair. Its possibly the “Source/tape” switch. I’m not sure. I just tested it and it does work in Tape, tuner, aux, phono inputs. I was listening to it and every so often I hear very loud distortion type sounds intermediately. It sounds like it maybe coming from the “Source/tape” switch as when I switched it while the distortion was happening it seems like it made it worse. This preamp has most defined and powerful low frequency bass response of any preamp I’ve owned. The gain is very high, just barely turning the volume control create a monstrous amount of volume. The model on the back reads “Modulus” however the PC board inside reads “Modulus II”. My Commitment is to Your 100% Satisfaction!
