GORGEOUS Bebe Jumeau with beautiful quality bisque and stunning blue paperweight eyes! She is an especially fine example with her original clothing ensemble. You just don’t find them like this any more! And, she is around 130 years old! The bisque head features superb modelling and decoration of facial features. The bisque head has been lighted and blacklighted and has no damage. She has the rare walking body with the arm that throws a kiss. When her legs are moved, the head turns to the side and then back. The arm also moves as to make a “throwing a kiss” movement, although you have to know that is what is intended. Nonetheless, the mechanisms all function as intended. She wears her original ivory dress with pink trim, original layered underskirt, original chemise/pants with pink trim around the bodice, pink knit stockings, old shoes, and an old bonnet with a muslin-like lining. She is ready to place in the finest of collections! Description: 22” WALKING JUMEAU, featuring a bisque socket head with beautiful quality bisque, stunning bulbous blue paperweight eyes with much depth and detail, feathered eyebrows, molded upper eye lid, finely painted upper and lower eyelashes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye cuts, “dot” accents at the inside corners of the eyes, shaded and accented nostrils, open mouth, porcelain upper teeth, shaded and accented lips, original hand-sewn human hair wig with curls, cardboard pate, and on the original Jumeau walking body with the mechanical arm that simulates blowing a kiss. She wears her original clothing. This is so rare to find today! Her ivory dress has beautiful pink trim. She has a multi-layered underskirt and a fantastic chemise with pink trim around the bodice. She has her original Jumeau pink knit stockings and antique ivory shoes. I think her bonnet is also original (see photographs of the interior). Her dress looks much more charming in person than in the photographs. The dress is in overall excellent condition, with only slight areas of wear as photographed. She is ready to be placed in the finest of collections! Condition: Please see photos. The quality of the bisque is superb with excellent modeling and delicate facial decoration. The bisque head has been lighted and black lighted and is in overall excellent condition with no damage and no repair. The body is in the original finish and is in overall excellent condition with only slight flaking to the doll’s right hand. The index finger on the doll’s left hand has a craze mark or has been neatly reglued. The dress has some slight wear, but is in overall excellent condition. The doll displays beautifully and is ready to place in the finest of collections. Circa: 1890’s.
