eBay This lot of cards was acquired by purchasing a full case of 1986 Topps Wax Packs back in 1986. The case was opened up and put into 2 sorting boxes at the time I bought them. No sets were built from the purchased case and no stars were pulled or sold off. All cards, commons, stars and subsets are still in the 2 sorting boxes which have been in storage for 35 years. The total contents of the sorting boxes is approximately 10,000 cards. In my opinion these cards are in excellent shape, meaning they are as close to mint as a card can be. It is also my opinion that these cards, if sold individually, would sell for premium prices compared to others being offered for sale. These cards are not graded, but would be a great investment for the collector that has the time and resources to have them professionally graded. Card prices have risen dramatically as of late and will continue to do so. On average there are approximately 8 to 13 of each of the 792 cards issued by Topps in 1986. Some of the high dollar/star cards are Eric Davis, Ryne Sandberg, Nolan Ryan, Andre Dawson, Keith Hernandez, George Brett, Pete Rose, Rickey Henderson. These cards have listings from $10 per card up to over $100 per card. If sold individually the value of these 8 players cards (avg of 8-13 each) would exceed the asking price of this entire lot. Subsets in this lot are – Pete Rose Special cards #2 – #7, Turn Back the Clock, Record Breakers, All-Stars, Team Leaders, Managers and Checklists. The asking price equates to approximately 34 cents per card. **AGAIN…great investment for someone that has the time or resources to have these cards graded. All of these cards are in excellent condition.
