Sorry!Here for your consideration is an exceptional 1967 TEAC A-4010S 4 Track Stereo Auto Reverse Tape Deck with its optional Clear Cover that was recently serviced and works great.I recently took this 50 pound, 18” x 18” x 9” (11” with Clear Dust Cover) to my Tech Friend Don. He is a perfectionist on Tape Decks. He replaced a belt, cleaned the Heads and tape path, adjusted the pinch roller solenoid, and cleaned and lubed the mechanisms. He also cleaned and polished the deck and clear cover.It has 2 brand new rubber tape reel hold downs.It looks almost NEW!The only slight negatives I can see is a couple hairlines on the sides of the Clear tape cover. Don polished it, and it looks wonderful. Like many of the late 60’s Japanese tape decks, it was equipped with auto-reverse functionality (playback only). Controls were fairly spartan and consisted of two large VU meters, microphone and line input level controls and a line-output level control. Other features included tape tension control, input mixing and tape monitoring (selectable from either the playback head during recording or the source).
